Elizabeth’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful and much loved mom Elizabeth (Betty) Caines (nee Tucker) on Monday March 29th, 2021 at the Western Health Palliative Care at the age of 99 yrs.
She will be sadly missed by her children; Clarence (Christine), Olive (Everett) Porter, Shirley Cross (Gary Oake), Milton (Irma), Edgar, Gary (Donna), Terry (Christine) and Myra (William) Curtis. She will be forever loved and missed by her 23 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Bryant of 69 years , parents Alexander and Sarah Tucker, son-in-law; Donald Cross (senior),daughter-in-law; Dorothy Caines, grandchildren; Dwayne Cross, Jason Caines and Justin Caines .Sisters; Louise Morris, Fannie Hobbs and Adlette Farrow. Brothers; Clarence, Richard, Trueman, Alex and Walter Tucker. Sister-in-law; Edna LeRoux and Annie McAllister. Grandson-in-law; Larry Owens.
The family extends a special thank you to her home care workers; Sharon, Caroline, Kylie, Ingrid, Cavelle and Lisa for the wonderful care you gave our mother.
Due to the current covid-19 regulations a private family viewing will take place on Wednesday March 31st, 2021 and the funeral service will take place at The Salvation Army Church in Deer Lake on Thursday April 1st, 2021 at 1pm with Corp Sergeant Major Judy Sheppard and C.M.L. Sandra Pinksen officiating the service can be viewed live stream on the church’s face book page.
The family will be graciously accepting flowers or a donation in Elizabeth’s memory can be made to the Salvation Army Church in Deer Lake.
