Obituary for
Effie Hilda Langdon
It is with sadness that the family of Effie Hilda Langdon announces her peaceful passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on June 3, 2021, at the age of 88. Effie was a long time resident of Harbour Breton and Seal Cove.
Effie leaves with many fond memories, her loving family: sons, Levi Langdon (Anita) at St. John’s, NL and Boyde Langdon (Elizabeth) at Ellerhouse, NS; daughters, Gloria Ollerhead, Tracey Casey (Mike) all at Brooks, AB and Joy (Ron Noseworthy) at South Korea; brother, Andrew Harris (Audrey) at Seal Cove; sisters, Winnie (Carl Loveless) at St. John’s and Geraldine Smith at Point Leamington; grandchildren, Victoria, Kristy, Abby, Aaron, Sarah, Lucas, Lori Ann and Angela; great grandchildren, Yenna and Yae Jeun; brothers in law, Clayton Langdon (Gladys) at Seal Cove and John Langdon (Myrtle) at CBS; her two caregivers, Donna Wells and Brenda Wells; plus a circle of other relatives and friends.
Effie was predeceased by her husband, Ralph; parents, Robert and Ethel Harris; parents in law, Lawrence and Gertrude Langdon; brothers in law, Claude Smith and Joseph Piercey; sister in law, Hettie Piercey.
Walk Through Visitation will take place on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 10:00 am to 12 Noon, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Salvation Army Church, Seal Cove. Family Service will be held at 8:00 pm by Invitation only. All COVID 19 restrictions must be adhered to.
Celebration of Effie’s life will be held at the Salvation Army Church on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 am with Majors Osbourne and Roxanne Randell officiating. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Seal Cove.
