It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Edwin Keeping of Grand Bank announce his peaceful passing at the Dr. S. Beckley Health Care Centre on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the age of 83.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are son, Eddie Keeping of Garnish; daughter, Rosemary Halleran of Grand Bank; sisters, Shirley (Edward) Cokes of Head Bay d’espoir and Bessie Gillard of Port Aux Basque; brother, Locke Keeping of Isle aux Morts; sisters-in-law, Carson (Len) House and Peggy Keeping; brothers-in-law, John (Joanne) House; 4 grandchildren, Ashley, Alicia, Madison and Mackenzie; 4 great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Harlow, Harper and Emersyn; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Edwin was pre-deceased by his wife, Mary; parents, Garfield & Mary Ann Keeping; brothers, Arthur Keeping, William (Bill) Keeping & Wilson (Abigail) Keeping; sister, Katherine (Charle) House; parents-in-law, Edward & Roseann House sisters-in-law, Jessie Savoury, Aggie White and Gladys Warren.
In keeping with the current Covid-19 regulations The Keeping Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, FORTUNE on Friday, May 7th, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, May 8th, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This will be a walk through visitation with not more than 20 people permitted in the building at one time. No food or beverages are permitted.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 9th, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Grand Bank with interment to follow at the St. Alban’s Cemetery in Grand Bank.
