It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward Ignatius Cormier otherwise known as “Red Fox” announce his passing on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at his home in St. Teresa’s, NL at the age of 95 years. He will be forever missed and loved by his Children Cyril, Raymond, Marcel, (Eileen), Danny (Sharon), Ricky (Jackie) Cormier, Annette (Jimmy) Cormier, Joslyn (Richard) Legge, Christine (Ted) Payne, Jackie (Junior) Bennett, and Audrey (Wade) Bennett, His sister Regina Lasaga, his 26 Grandchildren, his 46 Great Grandchildren and his 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Yvonne, parents Frederick and Mary Cormier, his grandchildren; Brian Kendall, Lenore Legge, Cindy Legge, Sheldon Cormier and Corey Payne, his Daughter -in-law Joan, his brothers; Neil, Alonzo, Leo, Arthur, Bernard, Benedict, Hubert and Johnny Cormier; his sisters Delia and Zita.
Edward was known as a fisherman and trapper, so much so, that his nick name was Red Fox. He loved life and was very knowledgeable about many things. He loved his walks to the pond and the ocean. In keeping with Edward’s wishes, cremation has taken place, but due to Covid restrictions a Funeral Service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the a Charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
