Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Ed Chrusch announce his passing at the age of 86 in Hinton.
Ed was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario on November 28, 1934. He left Ontario for a job at the Hinton pulp mill in 1957. He was fortunate to retire from the mill at the age of 58.
He met Velma in 1965 and they married in May 1966. He became a proud dad to Carol and Kevin a few years later.
Ed enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially if it involved fishing, playing cards, shuffleboard, darts, curling, bowling and watching hockey. He was always up for a game of crib, even just a few weeks ago. He looked forward to driving to Kapuskasing to visit his family every few years. He enjoyed driving across Canada, and trips to Hawaii, Mexico and Las Vegas.
Ed was predeceased by his parents Makar and Agnes, brother Nicholas, sister-in-law Lillian, nephew Philip and brother-in-law Lucien Bedard, father-in-law Karl Puller, mother-in-law Christine Puller, and brother-in-law Kenneth Puller.
Ed will be missed by his wife Velma, his children Kevin & Carol (Dean) Teskey, and his grandchildren Gerin and Ashlyn. He is also survived by his sister Jamila, brothers Mike, Tony (Claudette) and Harry (Therese), brother-in-law John (Pauline) Puller, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
No service is planned at this time due to Covid restrictions.
We wish to thank Dr. Rahn, doctors, nurses and all the staff at Hinton Healthcare Centre for their care and compassion throughout the years.
