Obituary of Edith Jones
July 5, 1940-May 17, 2021
After a brief illness, Edith Jones (nee Appel) passed away on May 17, 2021 at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Edith was predeceased by her husband Donald Jones in April of 2020. Edith and Don were both awesome! Always providing a welcoming and loving home for countless family and friends to enjoy. Many will remember summers of bonfires, fireworks, BBQ’s, swimming, go karts, and water balloons. And winters of ice skating, the Zamboni, snowmobiling, tobogganing and hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows and whipped cream right out of the can. Christmas with Santa and Mrs. Claus, presents for everyone (even the naughty ones), Easter gatherings that started with the ringing of the bell, and ended with Golden eggs and baby chicks or frogs or lambs or whatever animals they could find. If it were your birthday, you might have enjoyed finding money or lottery tickets that Edith and Don would hide for you around their home, and if it were Halloween, they might have trick-or-treated at your door in crazy costumes. Edith and Don loved to go on drives and to the casino. If anyone needed help, they would be the first ones to show up. Edith also loved Thrift Stores and Bingo and made many friends there over the years. Edith loved to give. Every birthday, every holiday or just because, she always had gifts ready give.
Edith is survived by her daughter Barbara (North), granddaughter Emily North-Sargent (Tyler) and grandson Kyle.
Cremation has taken place. Celebration of life will take place when we can all get together again.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Edith
