It is with heavy hearts that the family of Edith Johnston-Dutot would like to announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Erie Shores HealthCare in Leamington, Ontario. Edith was born in Cottam, Ontario on, December 5, 1928. Predeceased by her first husband Clarence Glennville Johnston (1974) and her second husband Leslie Raymond Dutot (2015). Loving Mother of Brian and Anne (2019), John and Louise and Sharon Johnston. Caring step Mother to Janice and Jim Taylor and Donna and Gary McGaw. Extraordinary Grandmother to Lisa (Trevor) Veenendaal, Erin Johnston, Amy (Ben) Ainsworth, Nathan (Amy) Johnston, Andrea Johnston, Alena Vidal (Jean Cordeiro), Glenn (Lindsay) Johnston, Allison (Ed) Forbes, Melanie (Cory) Derouin, Scott (Alicia) McGaw, Matthew McGaw. Great-grandma to Clara, Spencer, Ian, Beatrice, Beresford, Edith, Lyra, Felix, Isabella, Tristyn, Gabriella, Elliott, Aiden, Abby, Owen, Alec and Christopher. Predeceased by her parents Charles (1986) and Neva (1965), brothers Raymond (2007) and Morris (1979) and sister Mary Jackson (in infancy). Edith was a dedicated nurse for the Victorian Order of Nurses for 41 years and long-standing member of Leamington United Church where she was a CGIT leader and member of the UCW. She will be sadly missed by: many family members, friends, and community acquaintances. A memorial service will be held in the future. A private family service and Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to VON Canada or The Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy or Lung Association.
