Obituary
Earl Ervine Yank passed away peacefully on September 17, 2021 at the age of 94, at Résidence Le Monarque in Montebello, QC.
Earl was born on August 4, 1927 to Louis and Minna Yank, and lived most of his life in Poltimore, QC and at Echo Beach. Earl loved the great outdoors: fishing, hunting, guiding–and teaching his sons to do the same. He loved spending time surrounded by friends and family.
Earl is survived by his sons Andy (Laura), Barry (Christiane), and Calvin. He is predeceased by his loving wife Erla, their son Miles (Mary), Earl’s sisters Gladys, Marjorie, Phyllis, and Gloria, and his brothers Nelson, Ralph, Stuart, and Hugh. Earl is survived by his sister-in-law Shirley Cheslock, nephews, nieces, and many friends.
Earl was also blessed with many beloved grandchildren: Monty (Trina), Peter (Melissa), Tyler (Jared), Brandon, and Dominic, as well as seven great-grandchildren. We will all miss both him and Grandma very dearly!
The family would like to thank the wonderful team at the Villa St. Louis de France in Poltimore, and in particular Sylvie Forest for her kind attention and friendship in Earl’s final months. The family would also like to thank Le Monarque for their exceptional care.
Earl was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bowman, QC, where he will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Earl’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
