Mr. Dudley Hugh Myers passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in Peterborough, Ontario at the age of 86.
Dudley was born to parents Thomas and Gladys Myers on August 22, 1934 in Kingston, Jamaica. He married Frances Spence in 1963. He worked as a telephone technician and salesman prior to moving to Canada in 1963. He was employed with Air Canada prior to returning with his family to Jamaica in 1971 to work with Air Jamaica. Dudley and his family returned permanently to Canada in 1977.
Dudley became an accomplished wood craftsman after retiring. He created furnished doll houses, sailing ships and airplanes. He was an avid music enthusiast and played the organ and piano. Dudley’s interest in airplanes was satisfied by flying his PC flight simulator.
Dudley is survived by his daughter Sonja, his brothers Roy, Frank and Phillip, his sisters Cherrie and Kay and his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his ex-wife Frances, his daughter Margo, his parents and his brothers Sonny and Donny.
At Dudley’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. The family is grateful for condolences, but would like to respectfully decline flowers and donations.
