Dr. James Robert (Bob) Morris passed away on June 20, 2021 surrounded by family at Hospice Prince Edward in Picton, Ontario. Bob was a biology professor at Laurentian University between 1970 to 2000. He was a few days shy of his 79th birthday. He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, MaryKay (Hicks) of Picton. Son of James W. Morris and Mary (Fee) of Crowland Township (Welland), and dear brother of Wesley (Claudia), Marjorie, and David (Elizabeth). Loving father to Kieran (Nathalie), Edward (Carin), and Rachel (Michael). Grandfather to Jonah, Mirabelle, and Darcy Barnes; James and Ella Larose-Morris.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada, Reaching for Rainbows, Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation, or a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the staff at the Kentwood Park Long Term Care Home, and Hospice Prince Edward. In particular, we extend our greatest gratitude to Dr. Sarah Leblanc.
A ceremony (or ceremonies) to commemorate Bob’s life and scatter his ashes will occur at a later date.
