DAVIS, Dr. Jack Samphier (1930 – 2021) – passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 27th, 2021 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Janet Davis of Cambridge, formerly Simcoe. Loving father of James Davis of Didsbury, AL and Patti Minakis of Cambridge. Cherished grandfather of Emi, Kaili, Jacki, Ryan & Emily. Predeceased by siblings Greta Allison, Vella Hunter, Patricia Fawcett, Colleen Sparks and Robert Davis. Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Dr. Jack served in the dental corp with the United Nations in Egypt. Follow his military service, Jack returned to private practice in Simcoe for more than 50 years. He was also an active member of the Simcoe Lions Clubs. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Due to covid restrictions, a memorial visitation & service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to donate in memory of Dr. Jack are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society of H-N.     My sincere condolences to you and your family. I am sorry I didn’t know Jack personally but because of our phone calls and correspondence I felt I knew him well. Your wonderful memories and the love and support of your family and friends will comfort you at this difficult time.

    I was a struggling poor university student and Dr Jack took care of my teeth, gratis.
    Thank you so much Jack. I am proud to call you ‘friend’.
