1947-2021
Douglas R. Mcgurk
Jr., 74, of Riverview, NB; passed away at his residence, on
Monday, October 25, 2021. He was the son of the late Douglas R. Mcgurk
Sr. and Margaret McDonald.
Douglas was a 1974
graduate of Bishops University and retired from the Federal Government
of Canada, prior to him working with the Government Canada, in the
early 70’s he worked with CKCW TV Moncton and was a member of the
Moncton Press Club.
He love travelling
to warmer vacation spots during the winter months, including Jamaica,
Mexico, Florida and the Caribbean, he also enjoyed photography and
loved sharing his stories and photos of his travels with family and
friends. Doug was a country and western music fan which he loved
singing at Karaoke bars.
We will missed his
smile, rest in peace dear brother and
friend.
He is survived by
his brother Donald Mcgurk (Lona Stewart) of Dorval, PQ; by one niece
Darcie and a nephew, Joel; as well as his many friends and
co-workers
Honouring Doug’s
wishes there is No visitation or funeral service, cremation has taken
place with crematorium services provided by Tuttle Brothers Ltd. / TBL
Crematorium, Coverdale Rd. in Riverview.
Donations in Doug’s
memory made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated.
