Obituary of Dorothy Lavina Phillips
Dorothy Lavina Phillips at age 91, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2021 at St. Paul’s Hospital. She was born with her twin brother Billy in Saskatoon on April 28, 1929 to William and Alice McCamon.
Dorothy was an independent senior living in her apartment at Kawanis Manor. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and baking which she shared around the building. Ice cream Fridays was a weekly highlight for her.
She will be dearly missed at family birthdays and family gatherings. Her son-in-law Doug will miss her especially as he spent many days taking her to appointments, grocery shopping and lunches that she enjoyed so much.
Dorothy was predeceased by: her infant twin brother, Billy; her husband; her daughter, Barbara; son, Terry; and grandson Robert.
Dorothy is survived by: her children, Stephen (Sandra) Phillips, Diana (Doug) Thompson, William Phillips and Janet Garai; her grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; and a brother Gary (Sharon) McCamon in B.C.
Thank You to the staff at St. Paul’s Hospital (5th floor Medicine Comfort Care) for the compassion and care for the last few days of our Mother’s life.
As per Mom’s wishes there will be no Funeral Service.
