After a lengthy illness, Dorothy Wittig, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother to eleven grandchildren and great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her loving husband Gerald “Bud” Wittig. Dorothy is survived by her four children, Dianne Wittig, Debbie Mills, Sue Ellen Williams and David Wittig (Karen).
Dorothy and Bud had a wonderful 60-year marriage and enjoyed travelling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Their travels took them all over the world and in their later years they spent winters in Florida and summers in Lake Charlotte. They loved dancing and socializing and Dorothy was always the life of the party. She loved to laugh and had a passion for decorating and gardening.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Vincent’s nursing home who cared for Dorothy. There will be no funeral service. A private burial service will take place at a later date.
