Obituary of Doris Janet Griffiths
GRIFFITHS- Doris Janet (nee Suess) of Welland passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late John Griffiths and Charles McMillan, loving mother of Wendy Ann (Dean) Morvan, William Charles (Gordon) McMillan, John Scott (Gina) McMillan and Robert Michael (Carol Pilon Mercier) McMillan, grandmother of John Louis (Amanda Jenkins) Morvan, Jason Micheal Morvan, Meggan Lindsy McMillan and Tyler Jonathan Mercier, great grandmother of Jade Caroline, John Louis Jr. and Robert Michael Morvan, DJ, Lucas and Layra Jenkins, sister of Stanley Suess, Alvin James (Olivia) Suess and Allan Suess. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by parents John and Carrie Suess, her siblings Bob Suess, Jackie Siddall and John (Jack) Suess. Doris loved her dog Chloe, she loved to travel and was a former member of the Welland Lioness Club. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the emergency at the Welland County General Hospital and the palliative care team at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. By Doris’s request, there will no service at this time and cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later time when it is safe to do so. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or a charity of one’s choice. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
