DORIS MAE WHEELER
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Doris Mae Wheeler (nee Rosamond) at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on March 2, 2021 just two days before her 93rd birthday. Adored wife of the late Kenneth Wheeler (1990) and special friend of the late Eldon Smith (2016) and his daughter Elaine. Loving mother of Jan (Bob Painchaud), and the late Delburn (Lila) Wheeler, Helen (Dale Mallett), Guy (Brenda) Wheeler, Lorraine (Dieter Glarvin) and Randy (Bonnie Smith). Daughter of the late Alex and Emma (Fabian) Rosamond. Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, with two additional great-great grandchildren arriving later this year. Predeceased by her siblings George, Robert, Jimmy, Mabel, Sara, Nora and Jean. Doris will be missed by her many friends, along with her several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Cobden Caressant Care Retirement Home for the excellent care provided for the last two years, along with the staff of the Renfrew Victoria Hospital, 3rd Floor who helped our mother with her final steps. As per Doris’s wishes, there will be no visitation, cremation taking place, and she will be laid to rest next to her loving husband Ken, with a private graveside ceremony in the spring. As an expression of sympathy Donations to the Cobden Food Bank or the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
