Doreen Bullen 1937 2021

Obituary of Doreen Bullen
On Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB, I, Doreen Bullen, passed away to be reunited with my beloved husband, Jim.
I was born in Gibsons, B.C. on February 26, 1937, and spent my early life in Hamiota, M.B.. Following service in R.C.A.F. right out of high school, I moved to Winnipeg where I worked for many years in the medical field at Medical Arts Building and Winnipeg Clinic. I changed careers and went into the hospitality industry where I was involved in hotel and tourist attractions sales, conference and tourism events co-ordination and ended my career with Travel Manitoba. In 1959 I met the love of my life, Jim Bullen, of London, England, on a blind date. We were married in 1963 and have over 50 wonderful years together travelling to many foreign and exotic places and enjoying memorable times with family and friends.
I was predeceased by my husband, Jim; parents Sophie and Victor Edwards; brother and sister-in-law, Graham “Eddie” and May “Tiny” Edwards; sister Gwen Bell and father and mother-in-law, Jim and Mary Bullen.
I am survived by brothers-in-law in England: Bill (Angie) and Bert (Anne) Bullen, and several nieces and nephews and their families.
I lived a full, varied and active life and was blessed with a wonderful family and friends along the way. To those who have been by my side through good times and no-so-good times, and to all those who have provided me with caring support during medical and emotional times of need, my sincere and heartfelt thanks and gratitude.
At my request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service or memorial.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Doreen
