It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Doreen May Waddell announces her passing on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Doreen was the loving wife of the late Reginald Keith Waddell. Loving mother to Wendy Small (Dale) and Wayne Waddell (Liz). Devoted grandmother to David Small (Natalie), John-Keith Small (Nora) and Melissa Graham Waddell. Great-grandmother to Logan and Russell Small and Keon, Khloe and Kimia Small.
Sister of the late Margaret Vogel (late Nick) and her late brother Harold Millar. Sister-in-law of Mary Millar. Loving Aunt to Rhonda Millar, Sheryl Millar and Laurie Millar. Daughter of the late Doreen and John Millar. Great long-time friend of June Powell.
Special thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at the Perley Health, Ottawa Building 2-West. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Shlomo Litwin for the many years as our GP, to Dr. Carolyn McGinity of the Cardiac Support Palliative Care Program at the Ottawa Heart Institute and Dr. Verma from the Perley Health.
Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of the Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor), Ottawa on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 9a.m. – 10a.m. Funeral service will follow in St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church, 2345 Alta Vista Drive beginning at 11:00a.m. Interment in the Pinecrest Cemetery.
