Death Notice
BEUERMAN, Doreen (Dee) – Passionate caregiver and retired registered nurse, Doreen ‘Dee’ Lynn Beuerman’s love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. Dee passed away on April 23, 2021 at the age of 75 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honour her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Dee. She found beauty in the little things… wildflowers, beach stones, the perfect shade of lipstick (Revlon Goldmist Bronze). Her favourite time of day was the crack of dawn which meant that rare garage sale treasures were hers for the picking and that sunrise talks on the porch or by the lake were extra special. Dee loved to spend time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for family, friends and neighbours. Holidays and special family milestones, even the little ones were cause for celebration. When Dee couldn’t find a reason to bring friends together, she made one up, rejoicing in porch parties and solstice festivities. Dee enjoyed cruising to far off places and loved American politics almost as much. Her exuberant personality was contagious and she made friends everywhere she went. She had a special way of connecting with others.
Dee is survived by the love of her life, her husband Larry. She was a dedicated mother, confidant and friend to her son Jamie and his wife Sandy and to her daughter Holly. Dee especially loved her role as nana to Sawyer, Joshua, Seth, Sam, Hannah, Abby and Simon. All who loved her dearly will never forget her generosity, tenacity, charm, grace and undying love and caring for them.
Please give generously to: My Sister’s Place (an organization Dee held close to her heart) or to St. Joseph’s Hospice. A private “Celebration of Life” will be held for close family and friends at a later date.
