Donald Stuart Mackenzie 19712021 avis de deces

Donald Stuart Mackenzie
1971-2021
Donald Mackenzie, 50, of Alma passed away
suddenly on September 15th, 2021 at his
residence.
He was born the son of the
late Donald Mackenzie Sr. and Carol Ann Harper of
Sus.
Donnie had a special bond
with his grandmother, Almira “Nan” who helped raise him and
taught him many things. He spent most of his life in Alma,
working as a lobster fisherman. He felt fortunate to be part
of the Fundy Mist Crew, having made many memories with
Martin, Mitchell, Daniel, and Luke Collins. He later spent some years
working at McDonalds in Dieppe where he really enjoyed the
experience and the people he met. While living in Riverview, he spent
time bowling, attending Wildcats games and tending to his kitties.
Donnie had a love for all animals, big or small, building them homes
and feeding them too many treats. In later years, he moved back to
Alma, and continued doing what he loved most – being by the Bay of
Fundy. Donnie was a big kid at heart and enjoyed making
crafts, having chip parties, playing with lego, woodworking,
and watching Disney movies with his daughter, Emily. She was his pride
and joy, and he never missed an excuse to tell her how proud he was of
her. He loved Emily with all his heart and she was the light
of his world. Donnie had a big personality, he was the type of guy you
heard before you saw him, he was loud and his laugh was even
louder. He never missed an opportunity to tease or embarrass
you if he had the chance. This was his way of showing you he
cared. He had a heart of gold and really just wanted to see the people
close to him laugh and be happy. He enjoyed
many adventures with his good buddy Ziggy,
over the years, and boy did they have fun. Even though
Donnie had many struggles through his life, he never quit trying to do
better for himself, and for his girls; his princess, his butterfly,
and his angel. He would want everyone to remember all the good times
they shared and to know he would not want tears but to
remember funny stories and have a great laugh at some of his antics,
as he really made an impression on everyone he
met.
He was Stone Cold Steve Austin’s
biggest fan and this is a quote which reflects Donnie
perfectly. ” I’m a very serious person, but I
don’t take myself very seriously and I would rather laugh
all day than argue.”-Stone Cold Steve
Austin.
He will be
deeply missed by his Princess, Emily Mackenzie (Dave); step-son, Josh
Roberts; brothers, Eddie Coggar (Heidi), David Robinson, and Michael
Robinson. He will also be missed by his niece
Chloe.
The family
will be visiting with relatives and friends at the Albert County
Funeral Home for a time of sharing and to celebrate Donnie’s
life on Monday, September 20th, 2021 from 6-8pm. Interment
will be held at a later date.
Donations to
the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly
appreciated.
Arrangements
are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, 4130 Route 114,
