Donald Charles Angus MacInnis, 85 of Glendale and formerly of Kirkland Lake, Ontario passed away June 6, 2021. Born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, he was the son of Roderick Daniel MacInnis and Matilda Ann (Miller) MacInnis. He was a member of St. Mary’s of the Angels Parish, Glendale. He was employed for 34 years at the Pulp Mill in Point Tupper.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jessie MacInnis; children, Rodney MacInnis, (Alberta); Valerie Rafuse, Halifax; Evelyn Shea (Gary), Hammonds Plains; John MacInnis (Ontario); Angie Painting (Alex), Stewiacke; Donald MacInnis (Donna), Glendale; as well as 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and his faithful companion, Maggie.
He was predeceased by his parents, Roderick and Matilda MacInnis; sister, Rhoda Willchuk; and granddaughter, Naomi MacInnis.
Funeral service will be held at a later date, when Covid restrictions allow. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Green’s Funeral Home, 507 Bernard St., Port Hawkesbury.
