Domine Blanchard
1926-2021
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – It is with great sadness
that the family announces the peaceful passing of Domine Blanchard 95,
on Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Stella Maris Hospital in
Ste-Anne-de-Kent surrounded by her loving family. Born in
Fontaine, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Doucet and late
Elizabeth “Marie” (Guimond) Doucet. Domine loved
to play cards and bingo and enjoyed cooking for her
family.
Domine will be sadly missed by her seven daughters,
Edmée Belliveau (Yvon) of Dieppe, Dora Blanchard of St.
Louis, Corinne Pellerin (Donald) of Bathurst, Marie Blanchard of St.
Louis, Alphonsine Blanchard of Shediac, Pauline Boucher (late
Noé) of Ste-Anne-de-Kent, Stella Blanchard Proulx
(Stephane) of Aldouane; eight sons, Antoine Blanchard (Aline) of
Aldouane, Henri Blanchard (Aline) of Ottawa, Benoit Blanchard of St.
Louis, Norbert Blanchard of Dieppe, Joseph Blanchard (Odette) of
Kouchibouguac, Clarence Blanchard (Berthe) of Kouchibouguac, Eric
Blanchard of St. Ignace, Robert Blanchard (Martine) of St. Louis;
twenty eight grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and two
great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Baselice Blanchard
of Pointe-Sapin; two sisters, Edmée Poirier (late Gerard)
of Moncton, Florence Daigle of St. Louis; three brothers, Louis Doucet
of St. Louis, Germain Doucet (Odile) of St. Charles, Jacques Doucet
(Bernice) of Aldouane and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving
husband, Nazaire Blanchard; two infant daughters, Eva and Eva; one
son, Romeo; six sisters, Eva, Aurore, Florida, Mona, Viola, Emerise
and two brothers, Alderic and Alphonse.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home in
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Friday at 9:00 am
until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 11:00 am at the St. Louis des
Français Roman Catholic Church in
Saint-Louis-de-Kent.
The family wish to express a sincere thank you to Benoit, the
staff at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, Dr. Georges-L. Dumont
University Hospital Center, Stella Maris Hospital and Extra Mural for
all their kind and compassionate care of
Domine.
Visitors are required to provide proof of vaccination and
government issued ID at the funeral home and church, masks are
mandatory and we ask that social distancing is
respected.
