Obituary of Diny Fluttert
Fluttert, Diny (Berendina)
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Diny (Berendina) Maria Fluttert (nee Ter Huurne) at Chatham Hospital on Thursday, October 7th, 2021; shortly after being admitted. Born June 1st, 1930, in Zwolle, Netherlands, Diny left her homeland in 1962 to marry John Fluttert, who she had met at a dance while he was visiting his home country in 1960. They initially settled in St. Marys, Ontario where their children Gerald, Annette and Michael were born. They then moved to Rodney, Ontario where they remained. Both Diny and John had a wonderful life that consisted of good friends, music and beloved card games. Predeceased by John in 2019. She leaves behind her children Gerald (Krista), Annette (Frank) and Michael. Her grandchildren, Alex (Chelsea), Kelsey (Kyle), Landon (Annie), Matthew, Alanna (Alex), Jonathon and April and her great grandchildren Jaxon and Davis.
Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank Martha Groniger “Our earth Angel” for all that she has done for both Diny and John. Arrangements entrusted to Denning’s of Rodney. Please share a condolence online at westelginfuneralhome.com
