Dieppe – Yvette Russell, 69, of Dieppe, passed away on Thursday, November 18th, 2021, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.
Born in Moncton and grew up in Saint-Paul-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hector and the late Georgina (Robichaud) Jaillet.
Yvette lived in Calgary for a few years before coming back home in 2005 to be a grandmother and to be close to her family who she loved very much. She was a lover of music especially if it was live, playing games, having lots of great talks, watching her many recorded shows, and she had a big love for her fur-grandbabies.
For many years Yvette worked at Staples Drug Store until her health could no longer permit it but has always remained a member of the Staple Drug Store Family.
Yvette was one of a kind with a big heart, she was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Tina Russell and Dana Russell (Barbara), both of Moncton and Christa Bourque of Dieppe; the father of her children: Ronald Russell (Pauline) of Moncton; her son-in-law, Martin Bourque of Dieppe; her grandchildren: Jocelyn, Jacob and Eva; her great grandchildren: Annabelle, Isabelle and Alayna; her sisters: Anita Dryden (Raymond) of Moncton and Rosetta Melanson (Audrey) of Saint-George; her brothers: Oscar Melanson (late Blanche) of Moncton, Clarence Melanson (Ella) of Sainte-Marie, Gerald Melanson (Rita) of Saint-Antoine and Romeo Jaillet of Sackville, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, from near and far, and also the nurses at the Dumont Hospital “Pediatric unit”, that she considered her earth angels.
She was predeceased by her common-law husband, Norman LeBlanc; her brother, Clorice and his wife, Doris and her sisters-in-law: Rosa and Cecilia.
Double proof of vaccination and mask will be mandatory.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901), on Thursday, November 25th, 2021 from 3 pm until time of service. A celebration of Yvette’s life will be held from the chapel at 4 pm.
