Being charitable to others was very important to her and something that she instilled in her children. She was a foster mother for many years. Her family home in Westville was always a welcome place for family and the many friends that she and Harry had. It later became the gathering place for the friends of her children who referred to her as a second mother.

Diane espoused to this. She will affectionately be remembered for her warm, quick wit, laughter and twinkle in her eye. She was always the center of family gatherings with her joyful, spirited sense of humour. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She never missed an opportunity to show or say, I love you. She loved Christmas and each year, more effort and care was put into the celebration as her circle of family and friends grew. She was always grateful and thankful for her many blessings. Her greatest blessing being Harry’s unwavering love and care of her in her final years.
Diane will be forever missed. When she laughs in heaven and the twinkle in her eye returns, we will see the sun shine a bit brighter and the stars will have a little more twinkle. We will know that these are signs of her unending love for us.
