The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Diane Greco (née Shultis) at Health Sciences North on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the age of 84 years, with her children by her side. Beloved mother of Donald Joseph Greco, David Stephen Greco (Maria) and Stephanie Lynn Greco, and predeceased by their father Joseph Donald Greco. Deeply cherished grandmother of Stephen David Greco (Rima), Marissa Diane Greco (Bobby), Sarah and Thomas Brown (Kirsten), and great-grandmother of Leighton. Loving daughter of the late William and of the late Leah Shultis (née Sewart). Predeceased by her sister Gay and brothers Spencer and David. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family, and her very best friends, the Show Girls.
Diane was retired from St. Raphael School where she was loved by colleagues and students. Diane will forever be remembered as a thoughtful, kind, determined and intelligent woman with a contagious laugh and positive outlook on life. Diane hand-made delicious butter tarts, pies, cookies, and pizzas enjoyed by all. She was an exceptionally talented knitter, creating timeless afghans, sweaters, hats, mitts, stuffed characters and more.
Diane courageously overcame many complications until her peaceful passing in the early hours of June 2, 2021. A sincere thank you to the nurses and staff on the 8th floor of HSN, with special gratitude to Corrine for the tenderness she showed to our mother. Cremation and burial will take place at Park Lawn Cemetery in Sudbury where Diane will be reunited with her mother and brother.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury where friends may gather from 4-8pm Monday, June 7th, 2021. Due to COVID-19 directives, there will be a maximum of 10 people allowed in the room and face masks are mandatory.
