The death of Debra “Debbie” Marie Shaw of Oakland occurred
on Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Upper River Valley Hospital,
Waterville. Debbie was born November 17, 1970 in Bath and was the
daughter of Floyd and the late Myrna (Lindsay) Shaw.
She was an amazing mother, nanny, daughter, sister, partner and
friend. She will be always loved and never forgotten.
Debbie is survived by her partner, Tony O’Donnell; her 2 children,
Marlee Lynn Barristo (Christopher) and Trent DeMerchant (Karrie
Watson); her 2 precious grandchildren, Alexander and Adalynn Barristo;
3 brothers, Darcy Shaw (Dawn), Ritchie Shaw (Lana) and Michael Shaw
(Michelle); her sister by choice, Carol Crandlemire as well as several
nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors on
Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 5-8 pm. Respecting COVID 19
regulations facial masks must be worn and proof of vaccination
required. A private funeral service will held in the L.R. Giberson
Funeral Chapel. Rev. Nathan Smith will officiate. The funeral service
will be live streamed on the L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors Face Book
page on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 1:00 pm. The interment will be in
the Oakland Community Cemetery. Donations made to the Breakfast
Programs at the Florenceville and Centreville Elementary Schools would
be appreciated.
Debbie’s family would like thank to the nurses of the Extra Mural
Program, especially Shelly Hunter. Also the nurses and staff at the
Upper River Valley Hospital, her family and friends that offered their
care and support during Debbie’s sickness.
