It is our deepest sorrow to announce the passing of David Schmitt. Dave was the beloved husband of Lisa Schmitt. Loving father to Michaila (David), Joshua, Ethan, and Lucas and was a soon to be Grandpa. Survived by his parents John and Margaret, 3 brothers Henry, Jake, John, and 2 sisters Helen and Chrissy. He will be missed by many brother and sister in-laws, lots of nieces and nephews, and cousins. Dave loved the Lord and was known for his full dedication to whatever he was involved in. He was known for his quiet secure presence and his humor and Dad jokes. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Visiting at Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Monday 6-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at New Reinland Mennonite Church, 1330 Mersea Road 6, Wheatley, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 1 pm. Interment at Graceland Cemetery, Ruthven to follow. Due to COVID restrictions, visitation and funeral celebration is limited to a specific number of visitors. Only those with an appointment will be allowed in.
