Obituary of David Lobsinger
David Edward Lobsinger passed away suddenly with his family by his side, on the shores of Lake Huron in Sauble Beach on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 in his 80th year. Loving husband of June (nee Plant) for 59 years. Proud father of Mike (daughter in law Sandy) Jeff and Tim.
Thoughtful and proud grandpa of Joshua (Morgan), Taylor, Tiegen, Kiana, and Dylan, great grandfather to Addison Grace.
Dear brother of his cherished twin Doug (Audrey), Rose Mariie Heisz (the late Bob Heisz), Ken (Julie), and Rick (Chyleen).
Brother-in-law to Randall and Maria Plant, Donna Plant (the late Ross Plant), and the late Bill Plant.
David is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Kathleen (nee Lenahan) Lobsinger and his sister Karen Seals, Mildmay, Ontario.
David will sadly be missed by his many friends and family. An avid hockey talent with his brothers growing up in Mildmay, Dave went on to a successful career in banking, locally and throughout various regions of Ontario. He settled back in the Sauble Beach area with June and retired after owning and operating Lobbies Beachfront Resturant, with his family by his side. A quiet man with a penchant for fairness and giving back to his community, he served willingly, humbly and regularly at St. Mary’s church in Owen Sound and Sauble Beach and spent countless hours with his peers serving the community of Sauble Beach through the Chamber of Commerce.
He will be remembered by all as a kind, fair, responsible man, he was “A hell of man” as June would say.
He was a great father, brother and grandfather in his life, we pray the Lord God takes care of him as we know he is deserved. We know he will always be looking over his family and supporting them in their thoughts and prayers.
A memorial gathering will be announced and held at a later date.
