(Veteran Peacekeeper – Overseas Duty, Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #34 Orillia, Longtime Member of Westmount United Church & Choir, Longtime area Santa including several parades and visits at the Orillia Square Mall)
Gone to be with his Lord, on November 8th, 2021; at the age of 70. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie Jean (nee Smith). Loving father of Erin Burtch of Orillia, Christopher Burtch and wife Melissa of Udney and step-father of Allan Smith of Orillia. Proud and devoted grandfather of Noah, Johnathon, Macy, Paige and Taylor. Son of the late Edith “Pat” & Edgar “Ted” Burtch. Brother of Michael and wife Linda (predeceased) of Sault Ste. Marie, Timothy and wife Margo of Barrie, Gregory and wife Christine of Ennismore and Tracy Cosburn of Peterborough.
Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Sunday, November 14th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #34, Orillia are asked to gather for service Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Monday, November 15th at 1 p.m. and due to COVID-19 restrictions anyone planning on attending the Service must register by calling the funeral home at 705-325-2231. Cremation to follow. In memory of David, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #34, Orillia would be gratefully appreciated.
