Daniel Philip Scott 1980 2021

Obituary of Daniel Philip Scott
Dec. 13, 1980 – Nov. 23, 2021
Son of Wayne Scott (Diane) and Kimberly Bates. Brother to Preston (Elizabeth), Jesse (Valarie), Isaac (Shyann) and Jacob (Andrea) and uncle to Parker, Lilly, Elizabeth, Wyatt, Paige and Jayda. Grandson of Ernest Scott and the late Freeda and the late Clifford and Carol Bates. He was a cherished family member to uncles, aunts and cousins.
Danny passed away of a Fentanyl overdose on November 23rd, 2021, in St. Catharines, ON. Danny suffered from Mental Health and Addiction for the better half of his life and caused harm and grief to a lot of family, friends and people along the way. At the end of his life, he was homeless and never able to move forward in a better direction.
To fuel his addiction, Danny lived a criminal lifestyle resulting in him spending considerable amounts of time in Prison. We sincerely apologize to anyone and everyone Danny affected negatively during his short life.
What people didn’t see is that in the rare times when Danny was sober, he was a loving son, brother, uncle, and family member that would do anything for the people he loved. They didn’t see the man who grew up to be humorous, or the man who loved hockey, music and being part of a home and a family.
In memory of Danny, please take a moment to see how devastating addiction can be on people and their families.
Arrangements entrusted to Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373).
Please share your memories and condolences to the family through this memorial page.
