Daniel Richard
1971-2021
Daniel Richard, 50, of Bouctouche, passed away suddenly on Monday
August 23, 2021. Born in Moncton and raised in Pointe-Sapin, he was
the son of Claudette (Roy) Richard and the late Maurice Richard.
Daniel was a loving and dedicated partner, father, son, and friend as
well as a devoted Fishery Officer. He had been involved in the fishing
community most of his life, and for the past 15 years, had been
dedicating much of his time to the Department of Fisheries and Ocean
as a Fishery Officer. Throughout his career, Daniel worked closely and
had great working relationships with members of the fishing
communities everywhere he worked.
When Daniel was not devoting his time in the community, he could be
found cheering on his daughters Pascale and Eva at many activities. He
also loved spending time with his partner Eléna and his many
friends.
Daniel was known by many and loved by all. He will be missed dearly
by his common-law wife, Eléna Rousselle; his daughter, Pascale
Richard; his step-daughter, Eva Aucoin both at home; his mother,
Claudette Richard; his parents-in-law, Gloria (Neri); his
sisters-in-law, Erica (Gary), Elise (Shawn); his brother-in-law,
Emmanuel (Nathalie); his Godchildren, Reno Roy and Jolin Roy; as well
as three nephews, two nieces, several uncles, aunts, cousins and many
friends.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Monday August 30 from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A funeral Mass will be
celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church,
Bouctouche on Tuesday August 31, 2021 at 11:00 am. Funeral

Rest in peace Daniel, and although grey is the cloud with no silver
lining, we take solace in having an extra angel watch over us all.
