She leaves behind her parents, Phil and Wendy Cousine, her siblings: Tracey (Brian) Lytle, Laurie (Thomas) Hepburn, Chris (Amy) Cousine as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cindy will also be lovingly remembered by her dear friend, Sherry (Hope) Tremain.
She is predeceased by her Auntie Dianne Cousine, Uncle Stewart Grant, Auntie Pam Maki, Great Auntie and Uncle Vio and Russel Rollins, as well as her grandparents Bill and Prudence Cousine and Don and Elaine Grant.
Cindy was the baby of the family. She was born in Red Deer and spent her early years of school there, until the family moved to an acreage near Sylvan Lake, where she attended school for several years before finishing high school at Camille J. Lerouge in Red Deer. Throughout her teen years Cindy was a member of the Red Deer Sea Cadets and participated in both band and guard. She loved sailing and drill, volunteering as an instructor for both as an adult.
After high school Cindy spent some time working in Inuvik and attended Marvel School to become a hair stylist.
Cindy loved camping, spending lots of time at the family campsite near Caroline. She also loved baking and canning. She was a great hostess who prepared many yummy family meals.
Dean and Cindy met in Rocky Mountain House, and spent many happy years together, playing crib, watching movies and sometimes working together. They enjoyed the company of a number of pets; Kiko, Sylvester, Spud, and Sophie.
Cindy was a collector of memories and had a special fondness for mementos to remind her of her past. Walking through her home, one was always reminded of happy times through the things she accumulated over the years. She cherished many happy memories and was quick to recall a funny story for family or friends. She will be sadly missed.
