Obituary of Connie Mens
MENS, Connie
Passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of 68 years to Henry. Loving mother to Rob (Ruth), John (Fran), Lynette (Dan) Filipov, and the late Carolyn (Rob) Zuk. Cherished grandma of 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Connie will also be dearly missed by Mary Mens.
Connie was born on January 1, 1930 in Leiden, Holland. She met Henry in 1951, and they were married in 1952 in New Zealand. Eventually, they settled in Port Dalhousie to raise their family, where they remain to this day. Connie will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family.
Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Saturday, June 26 from 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Warehouse of Hope.
As per the Province of Ontario Covid-19 regulations – visitation is limited to 15% building capacity. All guests attending the visitation must wear a mask and must call the funeral home to make an appointment, (905) 937-4444.
