Clyde’s Obituary
It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Clyde Young of Lawrencetown, NS announce his passing on Tuesday, March 2 at Willow Hall in NS Hospital, Dartmouth.
Clyde was born in Sheave’s Cove, NL and raised in Stephenville Crossing, NL, he was the son of the late Lillian (Jesso) & Angus Young.
In his adult life, Clyde met and married the love of his life Anne (Nee Alyward). Together they raised their only daughter Pamela Young (Craig Bennett), whom they both cherished.
He later became a very proud grandfather to Brady Young (Taylar Powell) and Breanna Young (Ray Beazley), a role he cherished and took great pride in. And most recently he became a great-grandfather to Leona and Everleigh, who put a sparkle in his eyes. He may not have gotten to spend much time with them but always had a smile when they were able to visit or saw their pictures. He will be their guardian angel, now, a job he will do with pride.
Clyde enjoyed time with family and socializing with friends, as well as Bingo, tinkering with gadgets, and cars.
He also loved the outdoors salmon fishing and hunting. His last wish was to salmon fish at one of his favourite spots, which, like all fishermen, he preferred to keep a secret.
Over the years, Clyde worked in many jobs, in his early years he lived and worked in Ontario as a Truck Driver. When he returned to NL he had his own business Clyde’s Taxi, he then returned to Truck Driving at Advocate Mines in NL. He was also a guard with the RCMP Detachment in Barchois Brook for many years, and before retirement he worked with the City of Brampton. Over the years Anne and Clyde lived in many places always making friends and a home wherever they went.

Cremation has taken place, there will be a small family service here in Dartmouth and he will be buried in NL at a later date. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family through the Dartmouth Funeral Home www.dartmouthfuneralhome.ca. In Lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Diabetic Association
