  1. Don was a very good friend of mine. He helped tutor me with my first job in Ottawa with Catelli Ltd. Don was a humble man and very quiet. One of the hardest workers i ever was associated with. i have known Don for over 40 years and always kept in touch. We last saw each other in Nova Scotia, but never really made a point of hooking up much since he moved to the Montreal area. Don always talked about his family with alot of respect. Don loved his hockey and making the odd wager with me on hockey or golf majors. In fact, i think Don owes me a Brador beer (if they still make it) but i know that he would of won that back taking his Habs over my Leafs this season. (so i concede that we are even) In fact, if the Habs win it all, i will owe him a beer. Great Guy and will be missed. His friend Corey Koneczny

  2. I am both shocked and saddened by this news about Don. He was truly a gentlemen’s gentleman, soft spoken, but also keenly interested in your world and your family. He truly loved his family, spoke often of them. I knew Don best in the 90’s, when we both worked in the consumer products business in Nova Scotia, he was a tremendously hard worker, who always seemed to have some inside information. He was the last person I ever played squash against, and, as I recall, he kicked my butt! He’ll be watching closely as the Canadians continue their march towards Lord Stanley. My heart goes out to his family and friends, he was a classy man of exceptional character. RIP, Don…..
