Christopher Wentzell 1961 2021

WENTZELL, Christopher Robert – On August 18, 2021, God called
our brother Chris, who spent the majority of his
life long haul trucking, to take his final trip on the highway to
Heaven, at the age of 59.
Born October 2, 1961, to George and Barbara (Johnson)
Wentzell of Petite Riviere, it was clear at a young age that trucks
would be a large part of his life.
From toy Tonka trucks, The Piston Pounder to Freightliners,
Chris covered a lot of miles in the gravel pits as a child to the many
highways across North America until recently.
He was often seen frequenting Tim Hortons, Green Bay Canteen for
his favourite Rum n Raisin ice cream and at his seat at the
Liar’s Club at the Petite General Store in his shiny mustang
car.
Chris was known for witty comebacks, telling tales, making
people laugh and was quick to identify and voice a certain word on
what he felt was false information.
Chris was a member of
Petite Riviere Volunteer Fire Department.
Along with his parents Chris was predeceased by his only son
Brandon Wentzell.
Surviving are his brother Darrell (Mary Ann Wagner) and
sister Marsha (Scott) Tanner, both of Petite Riviere; niece Kaleigh
Wentzell; nephews Zachary Wentzell and Joel Tanner.
A graveside service will be held at a later
date.
No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers memorial donations
my be made to the Brandon Wentzell Memorial Bursary Fund and the
Bridgewater Branch of the CIBC, Petite Riviere Volunteer Fire
Department, SHAID Animal Shelter, Souls Harbour Rescue Mission in
Bridgewater or charity of choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to R.A. Corkum Funeral Home,
Wileville, where on-line condolences may be made by visiting

“Oh Lord let it be you that is my daily guide as I head out to
where the yellow line never ends.
It sure is good to know that you will be riding with me once again and
when I have taken my last load there will be one final trip that I
must take
One that will be on a road that is paved with gold and there I rest
for there will be no more trips to take once I have entered
Heaven’s Gates.”
