Warwick, Catharine Elizabeth (née Wayte) November 29, 1947 – August 29, 2021 died peacefully at Kingston General Hospital surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Bill, cherished mother of Bob (Lena Paroussoudi), Cindy (Louis Tay) and Carrie Homuth (Brian) and best grandma in the world to Emily, Riley (Justine), Max and Vivian, she was the heart of her family. She is survived by her mother, Mary Wayte, her brother Brian Wayte (Cindy), her sisters Cherie Doyle (Tom) and Brenda Dubuc (Mike) and many nieces and nephews who will all miss her care and support. She is proceeded by her father Harold Wayte. The many friends she has made over the years, in the communities where she lived, in her work at UTDC-Bombardier (and other places), at Lake Kashwakamak and during travels with Bill, share our grief.
Cathy was born and grew up in Napanee. She attended Napanee District Secondary School where she met Bill, the love of her life, and made friends who would last her a lifetime. She would say with pride that her greatest achievement was the family that she and Bill grew over the course of their 54 years of marriage, living in Milton and Kingston. The sudden, devastating cancer that took her life interrupted her pickleball schedule, trips to the cottage and many conversations with friends, all of which she was enjoying so recently that her death seems unreal. Amongst so many other things, she will be remembered by her family for never missing a birthday or life event, orchestrating magical family Christmases and effortlessly doing all the work that enabled her family to thrive. She will be missed terribly.
Visitation will be held at Wartman Funeral Home Napanee on Thursday, September 9 from 12:30 – 3:00 pm. Masks and Social distancing mandatory. Private Family Funeral Service. Interment at St Paul’s Cemetery.
