It is with sadness that we announce the
passing of Carolyn Jean Scott, age 79, of
Baie Verte, NB. Carolyn passed away on Tuesday, August 10,
2021 at her home in Moncton, surrounded by her loving
family.
Born in Baie Verte, NB, she was a
daughter of the late Hazen and Jennie (Kirby) Wells.
Carol lived a life as a wonderful wife,
mother, aunt, great aunt and friend. She enjoyed being
around people and inviting them into her home. She also
enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling and playing cards, especially
with her new friends in her apartment building at Halls
Landing. While living in Baie Verte, she volunteered with
events happening at the Baie Verte Hall, the E.L.F. Program at the
Port Elgin School, helping grade 2 students with their
reading. She was a former member of the Fort Monkton Chapter
#1, and was District Commissioner of the Girl Guides of Canada in
Port Elgin and Murray Corner Districts.
She will be sadly missed by her
children, Janice (Richard) Gallant, Scoudouc, Ken (Cindy) Scott,
Dieppe, NB, Kevin Scott (Nancy Landry), Westcock, NB, and Jennifer
(Chris) Stowe, Spring Hill, Tennessee; several grandchildren and great
grandchildren; sisters Barbara Haley, Hazel Stephens and Donna
Stephens, all of Sackville, NB; brother Larry (Lynn) Wells, Moncton,
NB, and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband James Scott;
brother Alan Wells.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70
Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300), where public
visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, Sackville, on
Thursday, from 6 to 8 pm. Her public funeral service will be
held at Jones Funeral Home, Sackville on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2
pm, Pastor Paul Berry officiating. Her ashes will be
interred in the Baie Verte Cemetery following the funeral
service.
