Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Carol Anne Hanson which occurred suddenly at her home on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021. Born 1947, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Roy and Edna (Northrup) Hanson. Carol worked in the Glassware Department at the Saint John Regional Hospital Laboratory for over 30 years. She enjoyed dancing, she was a social butterfly and she loved listening to Elvis.
Carol is survived by her sister Sherry Hanson of Albert County, NB; sister-in-law Connie Hanson of Saint John; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Carol was predeceased by her siblings Jean McNulty, Gerald Hanson, Ronald Hanson, Sandra Garnett and Laura Hatfield-Hanson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, January 3rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, January 4th at 10 a.m. followed by an interment at Fernhill Cemetery. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, all guests wanting to attend the funeral service are asked to call 646-2424 to RSVP. Proof of Vaccination and a form of government issued ID is required for all those attending visiting and funeral services. Donations in memory of Carol may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
