Buenaventura Bustillo
Buenaventura Bustillo Jr. was born in Hilongos, Leyte, Philippines on July 16, 1938 to
Buenaventura Bustillo, Sr. and Lucila Suarez Bustillo. He had three brothers and three sisters.
He migrated from Manila, Philippines to Pickering, ON, Canada at age of 60.
Buenaventura met his wife of 58 years, Concepcion Santillan Bustillo in Manila, Philippines.
Married on May 4, 1963 at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Church.
Buenaventura is a faithful Catholic, and is known for his appreciation for colorful, fashionable clothes and shoes and great food, and lastly but most importantly for his kindness and sense of humor.
He passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Hospital, Ajax, ON on Aug 26, 2021, after a long battle with coronary & kidney diseases, and diabetis.
Buenaventura is survived by his wife Concepcion ( who he lovingly calls Madonna) , daughter Cristina and her husband Pedd, daughter Angelita, five grandchildren, Kevin, Paulina, Derk, Thea, and Tams, sister, Julita., cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, as well as many beloved friends.
He lived his life fully, travelled the world, as he worked as a chef in international cruise/cargo ships for many years.
A viewing/funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sep 4, 2021 at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham ON L3R 5G1, 6:00 pm.
