Brittany Racheal Marie Sawada Wednesday May 5th 2021

SAWADA, Brittany Racheal Marie – In the Early Morning of May 5th, 2021 Heaven gained another special angel, Brittany Racheal Marie Sawada. Brittany passed away peacefully in her sleep at her St. Catharines home, surrounded by loved ones. Brittany was born in Niagara Falls on October 20th 1988 to Rhonda (Rob) Sawada and Brian (Mona) Leblanc. Recently, Brittany became engaged to Nathan Walchuk and had been previously married to Harkaran Singh, with whom she remained very good friends. Brittany was the loving mother to Marius, Vikrum and soon to be step daughter Aurora. Brittany will be sadly missed by her sisters Vanessa (DJ) Parker, Hayley (Myles) Sawada, Aspen Leblanc and Avery Leblanc, by her brothers Zachary (Jess) Sawada, Isaac Leblanc and her newly found half-brother Ricky (Lynell) Shephard, who she was very excited to one day meet. She will be fondly remembered by her Grandmother Cheryl Sawada, her aunts Karen (affectionately known as Titi) (Mark) Sawada, Helen Leblanc, Mary (Brandon) Leblanc, Sophie (Thomas) Leblanc and Kim (Claude) Leblanc, and her uncle Andrew (Ginny) Sawada. Brittany was known as Aunt B and will be missed by her nieces Marleigh, Serena and Brooklynn, and by her nephews Mason, Kaycen, Bentley and Phoenix. Brittany will also be remembered and missed by many extended family members, as well as so many special friends and people in the community whose hearts she touched. Brittany was predeceased by her grandfather Frank Thomas Sawada, her grandparents Rod and Patsy Leblanc, her grandmother Shelia May “Lita” Thompson, her great grandparents Mary and Albert Smylski and Great grandmothers Anastasia “Nellie” Sawada, Winnifred “Winnie” Plourde and Olive Gallant. Brittany touched the lives of many people. She was a very vibrant, beautiful woman who would do anything for anyone. She helped many people throughout her life and cared about so many people. Brittany would go out of her way to help anyone and was a very social butterfly; she LOVED to talk to people, especially all her regulars at the Avondale that she worked at in Chippawa, and the Green Apple Coffee House in St. Catharines. She loved them all and used to talk about them all the time. It was Brittany’s special uniqueness that made you love her so much. Thirty-two years was not enough to see Brittany fully shine and complete the adventure of life.
Private arrangements entrusted to Morse & Son Funeral Home. Once pandemic restrictions are lifted, a celebration of life will be held for the many family and friends that were not able to attend the service. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Niagara Regional Native Center or Pathstone Mental Health.
