Bridget Bertha LeBlanc
Bridget Bertha LeBlanc, age 65,
died while resting peacefully with her daughter by her side, on
January 12th 2021 at the Moncton City Hospital. She was born on
December 15th, 1955 in Sus NB to Clifford Allison Flanagan, a WII –
Hong Kong war veteran and Doris Jean Flanagan (Cameron). Raised in
Lakeburn (Dieppe) NB, she was a graduate of Harrison Trimble High
School and a business administration student at Oultons Business
College. Following her marriage in 1976, she had 2 children with
Gerard J. LeBlanc, a boy and a girl, Jamie Alexander and Jennifer
Allison Jean.
Throughout her decades of
volunteering, she was, to name a few, a Scouts Canada Cubmaster,
Sunday school teacher and choir member at large. She attended, was
married at, and was an active member of Lakeburn United Church. A
calling by God brought her to Bethel Baptist Church in Pine Glen NB
where she was a member and baptised by full immersion by Pastor Jerry
Sterns. In her later years, she frequently attended the Moncton
Wesleyan Church.
Bridget’s passions in
life were many, she was an accomplished cook, teacher of children and
devout believer in God’s word. She was an antique collector,
avid crafter and family historian.
Preceded in Death by her father,
Clifford A. Flanagan, mother, Doris J. Cameron and brother Allison E.
Flanagan who died as a young child. She is survived by her former
husband, Gerard J. LeBlanc; son, Jamie Alexander (LeBlanc), and his
husband, Joshua G. Breau; daughter, Jennifer A. J. Jones (LeBlanc); 2
grandchildren, Caleb and Sarina Jones; close cousin, Sandra Dunn
(Burgess), her husband Donald Dunn and their 3 children; close cousin,
Jack Stanley; special friend, Brian Gregoire; numerous cousins;
paternal and maternal relatives of Flanagan and Cameron
decent.
A celebration of life and a
private funeral by invitation will be held in Moncton NB at Fergusons
Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995). Interment will
be at a later date in Sus NB in the family burial plot at the
Trinity Anglican Cemetery.
The family would like to express
their sincere thanks to the many doctors and nurses entrusted with her
care throughout her various maladies. In addition, a special thank you
to the nurses and health care workers at People’s Park
Towers, Fundy Royal Manor and extra-mural NB. If desired, friends may
make memorial contributions to the Children’s Wish
Foundation or Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation. Online
