Brian’s Obituary
Jackson, Brian John George – 70, Port Howe, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at home with his family by his side. Born in Amherst he was a son of Jeanette (Ackles) Jackson, Amherst and the late John Jackson. Brian had trained and worked as a welder. He obtained his teaching certificate and taught welding at several vocational schools and the Springhill Penitentiary. For the past 30 years he was owned and operated his own business, BJ’s Custom Welding and Consulting, with a standing contract at the Town of Amherst for over 20 years, and various others. Brian was a member of the Boilermakers Union and the Iron Workers Union. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and spending time with his puppies, Abby, Ottis and Lilly who miss him dearly. Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, S. Belinda (Thompson) Jackson; step sons, Walter Dotten, Edmonton, Alberta and Jason (Chelsie) Dotten, grandson Maverick Dotten, Port Howe; siblings, Merry Anne (Bill) Chapman, Northport, Teri (Rick) Porter, Fort Lawrence, Betty Jackson, Belmont, Carol Jackson, Amherst, Grace (Syd) Archer, Bedford, Holly (Dan) Rector, Oxford Junction, Pearl Jackson, Amherst, Laurie (Garry) Payne, Oxford, Rob Jackson (Connie), Hastings, Jim Jackson (Darlene), Dartmouth; special niece, Carrie “The Brat” Gordon (Rick) Vassallo, Terrance Bay as well as many other nieces and nephews; in laws, Kenny (Carol) Thompson, Junior (Nancy (Thompson), all of Fox Harbour, Steven (Mary-lynn) Thompson, Brule. Besides his father he was predeceased by his stepson, Joshua Dotten, sister, Norma Gordon., nephews, Jesse Payne and Sean Delaney. A celebration of life will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Mundle’s Funeral Home, Pugwash.Covid-19 restrictions apply (proof of double vaccination, proper identification and face masks required).
