Obituary
One of the few advantages of dying from Covid-19 and a lung disease, is no more masks, no more oxygen tanks, no more shortness of breath and a cough that never went away. Mom’s passing was sudden but she was well aware long before covid hit she was prepared to go home.
Brenda Lynn Sinclair was born in Winnipeg on April 9 1962, at the women’s hospital (no longer there anymore). Grew up in Winnipeg with her late mother Frances Sinclair and late father Harry Sinclair. When Brenda was a small baby, she got very sick and caught a pneumonia causing a fever that attacked her lungs making it very difficult to breath. Her sickness became very chronic and she was brought in and out the hospital most of her life. The doctors told her that oneday her sickness will eventually take her life and she wasn’t going to live to old age.
Brenda was preceded in death by her late mother Frances Dorothy Sinclair, father Harry Sinclair and husband Freddy Charles Desmarais, daughter Crystal Desmarais, Sisters Muriel Stevenson (Percy) and Eleanor May Sinclair, brother Roy Nelson. Survived by her sisters Mary Sinclair, Thelma Roulette (Magnese), Frances Kaspick (Dennis), Janice Desmarais (Baptiste) and her brothers Garrnet Sinclair, Jimmy Sinclair. and her five children: Charlene Desmarais, Melissa Desmarais, Frances Desmarais and Freddy Desmarais also much-loved many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, in-laws, and friends.
Thank you for all the laughter and the love, and for standing by her at the end. Her children, she loves so very much. May we all, every day, connect with the brilliancy of our own spirit. And may we always remember that obstacles in the path are not obstacles, they ARE the path.
Brenda Sinclair was given the gift of life and now she has to give it back. This has been the most difficult But she was always a blessed woman, who has many fond memories, and for this she is truly grateful. She first got sick with a fever on January 19 2021. When the fever occurred it hit her lungs very hard, unable to breath. She decided to be joyful about having had a full life, rather than be sad about having to die. Amazingly, she walked the darkest valley with courage and a new strength. Christian meditation and the study of the Bible has helped her accept what she could not change. At any rate, she was at peace with her life.
Her beloved friends and family, how precious you all were to her. Knowing and loving her was the success story of her life. She will meet us again, joyfully, on the other side.
