It is with sadness the family of Betty A. McKillop (née Grey) announces her passing on April 24, 2021, in her 87th year. She was briefly in Continuing Care at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Predeceased by her late husband. Donald M. McKillop (2015). Loving mother of Beth (Doug) McLellan. Dear grandmother of Andrew McLellan and Daniel McLellan. Aunt to many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Bruce and Olive Grey (née Gammon), brother William Grey, sister in law Joan Marr and brother in law Keith Marr.
In her later years, Betty enjoyed socializing during ‘coffee’, outings with her good friend Shirley Arthur (recently deceased), hearing of her grandsons, Daniel and Andrew, tending gardens, and spending time with her cat, Sophie.
Betty formerly worked in the insurance business and was a legal secretary for many years in West Lorne and London. She drove cattle, fed baby lambs, grew large gardens and organized many memorable gatherings at Pioneer Farm, Eagle, for family and friends.
She was a member of the Church of Christ Disciples in West Lorne and Mapleton, and a member of West Lorne and St Thomas Horticultural Society.
Betty was especially known for her amazing lemon meringue pie.
She will be greatly missed.
In keeping with Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a graveside service at McColl cemetery (date to be set) with Janet Anstead officiating. If desired, memorial donations to the Continuing Care Centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital are appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Denning’s of West Lorne.
