It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bernie Chalifoux on November 7, 2021 at the age of 86. Bernie passed away peacefully at home, four months after being diagnosed with ALS.
Bernie was predeceased by his wife Hilda, of 62 years; his parents and nine siblings, and is lovingly remembered by his children, Deanna (Wayne), Craig (Carla), Drew (Lilliana), and Darcy.
Family was everything to Bernie, and he was especially proud of his grandchildren Alanna, Cassidy, Cale, Colten, Danica, Miya, Machaila & Austin.
He grew up in Morinville, resided in Edmonton, and was an avid volunteer and minor hockey coach for many years. Bernie was always willing to lend a helping hand and had a great love for the outdoors.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society of Alberta (www.alsab.ca) in memory of Bernie.
