Peacefully, with family by her side at the Lennox and Addington County Hospital in Napanee on Saturday, July 24, 2021. Margaret Bernice Thompson (Akey) of Napanee at age 94. Beloved wife of the late Frank Thompson. Dear mother of Ronald Thompson (Anne) of Orillia; Dawn Switzer (Gord Mylks) of Kingston; David Thompson; Valerie Stenzl (Peter); Heather Walsh (Frank) and Robin McAvoy (Kevin) all of Napanee. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Bernice spent her life dedicated to her family, her church and her community. Her involvement with Women’s Institute, 4H, UCW and many other volunteer roles led to her being awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee award for volunteerism.
