Passed away peacefully at Carleton Lodge on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie. Loving father of Susan Duncan, Steve (Buffey), and the late Ed (Lynda). Cherished Grandpa to Samantha, Gerald, Megan, Tyler, Emily, Gregory and Great-Grandpa to Hailey. Dear brother of Maureen and the late Peter and Frances. A visitation will be held at Hulse, Playfair, and McGarry – St. Laurent Chapel, 1200 Ogilvie Road, on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 12-4pm and 6-8pm. Due to Covid restrictions attendance will be by RSVP only. Please visit Mr. Cassidy’s page on our website and RSVP using the links underneath the obituary. A funeral mass will be held at Annunciation of The Lord Parish, 2414 Ogilvie Road, on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 10am. Please visit to RSVP if you would like to attend the service. A special thanks to the staff at Carleton Lodge for the wonderful care they provided to Bernard. Donations to Carleton Lodge Donor’s Trust, 55 Lodge Road, Ottawa, ON K2C 3H1, and Alzheimer’s Society would be gratefully accepted.
