Basil Owen Anketell 2021

Basil O. Anketell, 88, of
Lakeview Manor, Riverview, passed away peacefully at his residence on
Sunday, August 8, 2021.
Born in Shaw Brook, he was the
son of the late Georgina and Roderick
Anketell.
Basil served with the Canadian
Armed Forces as a Peacekeeper, having served in Egypt for a year and
was retired from Canada Post.
Basil will be sadly missed by
his wife, Joan (Murray) Anketell; daughters, Karen Anketell (Jean
Cormier) and Sandra Newman (Garnet DeMarchant); sons, Randolph and
Wayne (Julie); grandchildren, Randolph, Crystal, Amanda, Jillian,
Jeremy, Jennifer, Melissa and Kurtis; several great grandchildren;
sisters, Beulah Parker, Jenny Haney (Jack) and Eileen Dysart, as well
as several nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by his brother, Roderick and sisters, Juanita Carter
and Evelyn Cormier.
A graveside service will be on
Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Birch Hill Cemetery, Berry
Mills.
